American Runner Medals in World Cross
Championships
On March 25th Dathan Ritzenheim ran at the world cross country
championships in Ostend, Belgium. He finished 3rd in the race running a 25:46,
receiving a bronze medal. He is the first American to medal in 20
years.
Records keep falling!!
Long Beach Wilson high school set the
all-time indoor sprint medley relay(400, 200, 200, 800) record for girls at the
National Scholastic Indoor Championships with a time of 3:53.17, breaking the
old record by 3.5 seconds, splits were 53.3, 25.0, 25.1, and 2:09.5.
Another Record Falls by Alan Webb
Alan Webb broke the national indoor record for the 1000m run, he ran it
in 2:23.68, breaking the old record of 2:23.85.

Wow!!!!!!!!
Alan Webb ran an impressive 3:59.86 in an indoor meet in New York, he is the first high school student to break 4 min in the indoor mile and the fourth American to do it since Marty Liquori in 1967 for a regular mile.
